Congratulations to our Windjammer Resort, St.. Lucia
Bride & Groom Getaway Giveaway Winners!
We were so blessed to get to spend the first week of our marriage in heaven on earth, thanks to Bride and Groom Magazine. Our wedding day was a blur, filled with bustling around preparing hair and makeup on Kaitlin’s part and the “rest of our lives forever changed” mindset on Zac’s end. Before we knew it, the day was over and we were packing our swimsuits to leave for the small Caribbean island of St. Lucia. After a 7-hour flight with a short layover in San Juan, we landed on this beautiful sandy gem. Our days were filled with soft wind, 85 degree weather, lots of food and much needed rest. The resort was gorgeous to say the least. It was adorned with smiling faces, fresh pineapple, and an ocean front view. Our private pool was soothing and peaceful to spend some intimate alone time if we ever got tired of the expounding beauty that surrounded us on the island (yeah right). We rolled out of our couple’s massage with no knots to be seen, much needed after a stressful year of wedding planning! We also received, thanks to Bride and Groom, a candlelit dinner on the beach. Our back drop was the serene dark ocean tide singing a beautiful melody as it fragranced the romantic atmosphere, something that few newly wed couples get to enjoy in their first week of their new lives together. The service was over the top in hospitality; we felt like royalty for our entire stay. We would suggest Windjammers Resort to any one who is asking, and probably to those who aren’t because it was that great. The overall experience was one that is to be desired to say the least. |

Congratulations to our Rendesvouz Resort in St. Lucia
Bride & Groom Getaway Giveaway Winners!
Dear Bride and Groom Magazine,
The food was yummy, the entertainment was great, and the location was excellent. The things that stand out the most to me about St. Lucia were the sunsets at the hotel, the nice honeymoon package they offered us (champagne, fruit tray, flowers, roses on bed, small gifts from St. Lucia ), the service, the drive to Soufriere was so pretty, and eating dinner at the incredibly romantic Coal Pot Restaurant.
Thank You,
Ashley Griffith Portals

Congratulations to our El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya, Mexico
Bride & Groom Getaway Giveaway Winners!
Dear Bride and Groom Magazine,
I just want to say thank you for the wonderful honeymoon that my husband I and won through your magazine. We received 6 days at the El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya, Mexico and it was absolutely wonderful.
Everything was a breeze: from setting up reservations and transfers to and from the hotel. The staff was eager to do anything that was asked of them. El Dorado was voted one of the “Top Ten Most Romantic Hotels in the World” and it is well deserved.
Eric and I did everything that the hotel offered. There was so much to do there, that there was no need to ever leave. We went kayaking and snorkeling. The beach beds were a great to spend the day. Each night there were shows to attend and even trivia game shows. Each day they offered Spanish lessons, yoga and water aerobics. The resort also had a trolley than ran each day to Playa del Carmen so that the visitors could shop and do anything else that they liked. I have attached some pictures. |

Again, I just want to say thank you. I would also like to thank Mary Beth Fitzgerald for calling me that one last time. She had called me numerous times and I had not answered. Thanks for believing I would pick up. If it wasn’t for you guys we would have not been able to enjoy such a wonderful trip. My husband and I have decided that if you ever need any help checking out any other honeymoon destinations, please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to offer any assistance. J Keep up the good work.
Sincerely, Jennifer and Eric Rodriguez

Congratulations to another one of our St. Thomas
Bride & Groom Getaway Giveaway Winners!
Tyrone and Renee Turner of Wylie, Texas are the lucky winners of the five-day stay at the Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Resort in St. Thomas, USVI.
Find out how they met, fell in love and got married before heading off to St. Thomas!
“Tyrone and I met at a pool party in June of 2002. Some guys from my alma mater organized an alumni pool party. One of my close friends from college convinced me to going. While at the party, Tyrone walked over and spoke to my friend. My friend then introduced me to my future husband. Many people got into the pool during the party, but Tyrone and I sat poolside and got to know each other a little better.
Tyrone proposed to me on Labor Day weekend of 2005. He called my family about a month prior and invited them to be a part of it. He arranged a hot-air balloon ride for us on the Saturday morning before Labor Day. |

That morning, Tyrone woke me up around 5 AM and asked me if I wanted to go watch the sun rise. Although this was a little unusual, I decided it would be nice to do. Tyrone said that he knew a perfect spot to watch the sunrise. He did not mention that the perfect spot was from a hot-air balloon. After about a 45 minute ride, we arrived at the launch site and I was shocked to find out that we were going on a hot-air balloon ride. We helped the pilots fill up the balloons and took off just as the sun came up. The view was beautiful. About 30 minutes after takeoff and about 3,000 feet above ground, Tyrone gave the pilot a signal to stop the hot-air burners. This eliminated the background noise and gave Tyrone the perfect window to get on one knee and propose. I was shocked. This was something that I was definitely not expecting. I laughed and cried at the same time. When we landed about 30 minutes later, my family was at the launch site waiting for us. That is a day that I will never forget.
Tyrone and I were married at the Westin Park Central in Dallas, TX. Tyrone is a graduate of Jackson State University. He is a Senior Specialist for PepsiCo in Plano, TX. I am a graduate of Grambling State University. I am Software Developer for Securus Technologies. “
Best wishes to Tyrone and Renee!
